Mike Hart is an experienced attorney, practicing over 40 years in the civil law field.

 Mike Hart joined the firm in 2019 in an Of Counsel capacity.  Previously, Mike practiced with Peper Martin Jensen Maichel and Hetlage (later Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin) and Sher Corwin (later Sher Corwin Winters).  Mike maintains a civil law practice in the fields of business and corporate law and civil litigation.

His practice emphasizes general civil and commercial matters, including litigation, employment law, securities law, transportation law and commercial transactions.  Mike’s litigation experience includes cases involving securities laws, contractual claims, commercial disputes, construction claims, product liability, employment law, civil rights, and transportation law.  He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in these matters; individuals, small businesses and corporations.  Mike has tried many jury cases to conclusion, in addition to court-tried cases and administrative hearings.  He has also been engaged to represent government entities in various litigation matters.  Mike Hart has had extensive experience in federal and state appellate courts.  Mike has also assisted small businesses in many matters, including contracts, real estate and corporate governance.

Mike has been certified as a mediator since 2000 and has mediated many different types of civil litigation matters.  He is on various lists as an authorized mediator, including the panel list for the USDC Eastern District of Missouri.

Mike was on the Regional Disciplinary Committee for St. Louis City (appointed by the Missouri Supreme Court), both as a member and a special representative. Mike served on active duty with the U.S. Navy 1973 - 1976 as a line officer, and then in the Naval Reserve from 1976 until his retirement as a Commander in 1996.  He is on the Board of Directors for St. Peter Claver St. Louis Convent, and was previously on the Board of Friends of Steinberg Skating Rink.  Mike was the basketball gym director for six years at Our Lady of Lourdes (University City).
